ACC officials might have missed crucial targeting call on onside kick

There was a lot of controversy surrounding the end of the UNC-Clemson ACC Championship Game. UNC attempted an onside, but it was called back because of a phantom offside call. However, the refs not only botched that call, but they missed a fairly blatant targeting on UNC on that same kick.

You can see the UNC tackler lowers his helmet and makes helmet-to-helmet contact with the Clemson player trying to catch the ball. This would have resulted in that player's ejection from the game as well as a re-kick at the very least. The ACC has had trouble making good calls at the end of tight games with the Miami-Duke ending coming to mind and the conference will need to seriously evaluate these officials and should consider a suspension like the crew from that game.
