After suffering several coaching losses, one Power 5 school finally gets good news

The Tigers have lost some coaches, but now, they're back on track.

Great news for Clemson:

Bates has served as defensive line coach for Jacksonville State the last three years.  He played defensive end for the Alabama Crimson Tide from 2001-2005 and graduated with a degree in Business Administration,  His website says he "spent time" it the Tennessee Titans.

He replaces Marion Hobby, who went to coach the Jacksonville Jaguars defensie line, and the Dan Brooks, the defensive tackles coach who retired,
