After teasing hometown flip, recruit makes decision on commitment

That's a little disappointing.

Four-star linebacker Chris Allen has been committed to Alabama since November, but recently teased at a possible LSU flip. He sent out this photo after an official visit to LSU two weekends ago:

The 6'4", 234-pound linebacker did take an official visit to Alabama right after the LSU visit so it looks like Nick Saban and his staff did enough to convince the No. 5 recruit in the state of Louisiana to stick with them. He's also the No. 8 outside linebacker in the country according to 247Sports.

In an interview with 247, Allen said that he didn't expect his photo to get the attention it did and that he plans on sticking with the Crimson Tide.

"I told Coach O I'm probably going to go with Alabama," Allen said. "He was really sad. It made me kinda sad looking at his face. I really just wanted to tell him so they could go get whoever they needed to get."

247 had him crystal balled at a 77 percent chance of going to LSU so it's quite the coup for Alabama on this one.
