After two decades with the company, Sports Illustrated lays off one its best basketball minds

No one is immune.

ESPN is not the only company suffering from layoffs as it seems that Sports Illustrated is now laying off five key members of its staff according to The Big Lead. While most of the names haven't been released, one of them was confirmed by the man himself in Seth Davis.

Davis had been with SI since 1995 and told The Big Lead, "I have not an ounce of regret or bitterness. This is the way the industry is headed. SI is a great place with great people." Davis said that he plans to continue writing and he should have plenty of avenues for that as he is still a part of Campus Insiders and it doesn't sound like CBS has let him go as a TV analyst either.
