Considered by some to be a potential lock to commit to Alabama, three-star defensive tackle Neil Farrell (6-foot-4, 295 pounds, Mobile, AL) surprised many on Tuesday night when he announced his commitment to LSU.
Farrell may only be a three-star recruit by the 247Sports Composite, but he definitely had the offers of a top recruit: Alabama, Florida, Florida State, Michigan, Clemson... In the end, though, it looks like he has found a home with the LSU Tigers.

Farrell gives LSU 18 commitments so far for the 2017 class. That class currently ranks fourth over at 247Sports, behind Ohio State, Alabama, and Georgia.
