And big surprise, Alabama is a massive favorite over Ohio State, Clemson and Washington, according to Nate Silver's FiveThirtyEight.com model.

Silver's got the Tide as having a 64 percent chance of beating Washington in the first semifinal, and having a 39 percent chance to be the national champion.

In the second semifinal, Silver gives the No. 3 seed Ohio State Buckeyes a slight nod over second-seeded Clemson, and a 25 percent chance to win the title.
