The look of shock and horror fell on the faces of Kate Daley's comrades as they could do nothing but watch their rugby captain writhe in agony while she held her clearly broken ankle.
After being brought down on what looked like a routine tackle, Daley can be seen rolling over, holding her lower leg, revealing an ankle that was bent in a way that ankles aren't supposed to go.
Clearly not going to walk that off, she had to be taken off the field via stretcher but not before everyone-including the opposing New Zealand team—applauded her as they carried her off the field.
You'd have to be pretty damn cold hearted to do anything else after a play as gruesome as that.
