Auburn just hired one of the best recruiters in the country away from UNC

The Tigers have made a change to their coaching staff.

This could be one of the most important post-National Signing Day hires.

On Saturday, Auburn officially announced that they had hired North Carolina's Larry Porter to become the Tigers' new tight ends and H-backs coach, as well as recruiting coordinator.

Porter, a former head coach at Memphis, became known in the college football realm for his recruiting at LSU in the mid-to-late-2000s. According to AL.com, Porter twice won the Rivals award for recruiter of the year while at LSU, and he's been no slouch recruiting at North Carolina, either.

Porter will replace Scott Fountain, who Auburn dismissed earlier this week.
