Bruce Feldman thinks one other SEC coach could be headed to Purdue

There are a couple other schools who would discourage this choice.

College football expert Bruce Feldman has compiled a list of 12 candidates to replace Darrell Hazell at Purdue and there are quite a few interesting names on there. There are some usual suspects like mid-major head coaches in Western Michigan's P.J. Fleck, Temple's Matt Rhule and Western Kentucky's Jeff Brohm.

Then there are the coordinators from major powers like Greg Schiano at Ohio State, Tim Drevno from Michigan and everyone's favorite coordinator from Alabama in Lane Kiffin. Kiffin has been linked to almost every head coaching vacancy that's occurred in the last couple years because of his ability to make the Crimson Tide so great despite working with first-time signal callers.

While Kiffin has done an exceptional job as an offensive coordinator, he has a less-than-stellar track record as a head coach. He left Tennessee after only one season where he went 7-6. He then went 28-15 in three and a half seasons because he was fired in the middle of his fourth season.
