Colin Kaepernick is the biggest baby in the NFL, and here's why

I don't have any children yet, but I would hope that they would not gravitate toward San Francisco 49ers QB Colin Kaepernick and idolize him. His awful attitude and immaturity is deplorable for a franchise quarterback and the face of one of the most storied teams in the NFL.

With the tag of being the franchise player, you're expected to represent your organization with class; you're supposed to respect management, the media and most importantly — the 49ers fans.

After the loss to the Oakland Raiders this past Sunday, Kaepernick's postgame press conference really rubbed me the wrong way. In the video above, you'll see just how immature he comes across and how smug he is. Instead of facing the criticism of his poor play, he decided to answer questions — if he even did — with a terrible attitude. Hey, Kaep, don't you think the fans want to hear what you have to say after a disheartening loss? I don't see Russell Wilson pulling this stunt after any loss. Grow up.

Kaepernick was once thought of as the next great quarterback of the league with the likes of Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers and Peyton Manning. But seeing how he carries himself off the field, that's not going to happen unless he has a self-realization that he can't continue acting like an ass.

This offseason, Kapernick signed a six-year, $126 million contract extension, which included up to $54 million in potential guarantees and $13 million in fully guaranteed money. Before that, the 49ers QB showed off his immaturity again when he decided that it would be a smart idea to wear a Miami Dolphins hat. Yeah, it's just a hat and a fashion accessory, but it's much more than that. Imagine the outrage that would've happened if any of the three quarterbacks listed above wore a hat of another team.

Instead of just apologizing and letting it blow over, he decided to post another picture on his Instagram account of the Dolphins hat — almost like a giant middle finger to everyone who criticized his wardrobe attire (just read the caption).

He has all of the talent in the world — one of the most gifted athletes in the NFL — but if he can't get his attitude in check, it may be time for San Francisco to rethink that contract extension.
