Thursday night was one of the most violent ones in Louisville as there were reportedly four people found gunned down in a five hour span, according to a report from WDRB.com. Police are not releasing the names of the victims and this is from the report:

The violence started around 10:30 Thursday night on Wilmoth Road, off of Cane Run Road. Officers were called there for reports of shots fired, and when police got to the scene, they found a man dead inside a car.

Then, just before 3 a.m. Friday, there were reports of more gunshots — and police found more bodies, along Kingston Avenue, near Southside Drive. The victims’ bodies were found just yards apart outside what neighbors say are the Heritage Green Apartments.

Then about 45 minutes later, around 3:45 a.m. the violence continued. Police were called to Dale Road in south Louisville, where they found a woman’s body inside a home. Police say they have been talking to several people in that case, and they believe could be connected to or know something about the crime.

Several media outlets are reporting that one of the victims was former Louisville linebacker Abe Brown who was 33 years old.

Brown recorded 16 tackles for loss in his career at Louisville — back when the Cardinals made the switch to the Big East — to go with three sacks, 90 total tackles and an interception. He played for the team from 2004 to 2006.
