College football's wackiest coach has outrageous 'solution' to the Playoff

Dude is desperate for that postseason love.

Washington State head coach Mike Leach thinks the playoff field should be expanded, but his suggestion might be a little too extreme.

Leach has said in the past he wants a 64-team playoff, and he didn't shy away from that stance this week.

Even a 16-team playoff is too extreme. Leach probably wants to see his Cougars have a chance at reaching the playoffs with only two losses, but their early season loss to Eastern Washington will certainly keep them out of contention.

The playoff field will probably expand to somewhere between six and eight teams eventually, but if Leach wants to see 64 teams in the playoffs, he should just tune in to March Madness.
