Conor McGregor may have his rematch with Nate Diaz at UFC 202 coming up next Saturday, but for the past week, McGregor has actually been the talk of the WWE world.
Here's what spurred that talk.
Naturally, pro-wrestlers around the world — even if they are professionals of a scripted environment — take pride in what they do, and they didn't back down from McGregor's rant. One of the bigger names to respond to McGregor was 1996 Olympic gold medalist and former WWE Champion Kurt Angle.
Well, it's not like McGregor to ever shut up about something when his been challenged, and at UFC media day on Saturday, McGregor teed off on the current top guy in pro-wrestling: John Cena.

"What's the main guy? John Cena. He's 40. Yeah, he's 40 years of age. He's walking around in a luminous orange t-shirt and a headband talking about how nobody can see him. We can see him right there. He's a big fat, 40-year-old failed Mr. Olympia motherf****r."
Well that is certainly a quote. McGregor didn't stop there, as he also took aim at the rest of the WWE roster.
"I'm just speaking the truth. That new age... those guys are absolute dweebs. They just seem messed up in the head. I don't know what it is. When I listen to them talk, when I listen to them carry themselves, they just don't seem right in the head."
Ouch.

McGregor actually did have some praise to throw toward pro-wrestling personalities. He gave props to The Rock, Stone Cold Steve Austin, and Ric Flair. He also gave hefty praise towards WWE Chairman Vince McMahon, while also using that praise to tear down the aforementioned "dweebs" of the business.
"Like I said, no disrespect to the dons of the game, the McMahons. Vinny Mac is a f*****g legend. They wrote Vinny off a few years ago when he dropped from the billions, and then he rose back up and now he's back in the billionaire club. What he's been able to do with that bunch of dweebs he has over there at the moment has been phenomenal and I respect him for that."
For those wondering if this is WWE trying to pull a fast one and work a storyline angle with WWE, that rumor has already been shot down. This is simply Conor being Conor; using his words to call out anyone and everyone he wants.
