Cowboys playmaker takes the easy way out, blames officials for loss to Packers

Being critical of the officials could mean a fine is in his future

The Dallas Cowboys lost to the Green Bay Packers 34-31 in Sunday's divisional playoff matchup, and Dallas receiver Brice Butler said the officials were to blame for the loss.

According to NFL Network's Jane Slater, Butler said the Cowboys "couldn't beat the stripes."

Butler took issue with a 15-yard unsportsmanlike conduct penalty that was called on him during the game.

Officials always miss calls, but the reason the Cowboys lost was Aaron Rodgers—especially the throw he made to Jared Cook to set up the Packers' last second field goal.

The Packers are moving on to the NFC Championship Game on Sunday against the Atlanta Falcons.
