Crimson Tide QB battle looks to be down to two

It's looking more and more like the battle to be Alabama's next starting quarterback has been narrowed down to two. Quarterbacks Jalen Hurts and Cooper Bateman were both seen working with the receivers during Friday's practice, while David Cornwell was throwing to the tight ends. Blake Barnett was present but not throwing with the first team.

It looks like Jalen Hurts and Cooper Bateman are the two competing at the top, a battle between the veteran Bateman who knows the offense and is less likely to make mistakes and the true freshman Hurts who brings athleticism and excitement to the position.

Saban will most likely use the first two games to decide who the Bama quarterback will be, but hopefully when it comes time to take the field against Ole Miss the decision will have been made. No one wants a repeat of last year.
