Current Ohio State staffer is leaving the program for another Power-5 program

Another staff member at Ohio State is leaving Columbus for a new job.

Ohio State analyst and quality control coach Brian Knorr is leaving the Buckeyes to become the special teams coordinator at Arizona.

Knorr was an assistant at Ohio State last season, and he was previously the defensive coordinator at Indiana and Wake Forest. Knorr was also the head coach for the Ohio Bobcats from 2001-04.

The move isn't that significant for Ohio State and Urban Meyer—Knorr wasn't integral to Ohio State's success—but the Buckeyes have endured quite a bit of staff turnover this offseason.

Offensive coordinator Tim Beck was hired at the same position by Tom Herman at Texas, and defensive coordinator Luke Fickell was hired as the head coach at Cincinnati. Tight ends coach Ed Warinner was hired as the offensive line coach at Minnesota.

Meyer brought in ousted Indiana head coach Kevin Wilson as his new offensive coordinator, and new quarterbacks coach Ryan Day was a graduate assistant under Meyer at Florida. New linebackers coach Billy Davis was a teammate of Meyer's at Cincinnati.

Meyer—much like Nick Saban at Alabama—has earned the faith of his players and fan base, and despite the staff turnover, Ohio State will still be among the best teams in college football next season. But it will be intriguing to monitor whether there are any other staff changes in Columbus before the start of next season.
