Dabo Swinney says there's one team Clemson should be playing every year and it isn't a cupcake

The Tigers wouldn't be under any heat for playing a soft schedule, that's for sure.

Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney is certainly not shy when the mics and cameras are in front of him and he'll talk about almost anything. That was the case last week as he talked at length about installing a nap room in the new football operations facility being built. This week's topic is another permanent opponent out of conference.

Clemson already plays SEC and in-state rival South Carolina for its rivalry week game each year, but Swinney thinks that the Tigers could use another challenge year-in and year-out.

It would certainly get everyone off their case for scheduling cupcakes or any sort of "soft" games. It could also create a pretty great rivalry off the field as the two schools compete regularly for recruits. The two schools are only separated by about 71 miles and it would make for easy road trips should they agree to a home-and-home series.

The two teams played in 2013 and 2014 with Clemson taking its home game 38-35 and Georgia winning in Sanford Stadium 45-21.
