Date may have been decided for the long-anticipated Conor McGregor-Floyd Mayweather showdown

Could it be happening?

It may be inching along, but the anticipated Floyd Mayweather-Conor McGregor bout is even closer to becoming reality.

After Mayweather announced he was coming out of retirement for a fight with McGregor, FloCombat is reporting June 10 is being held at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas for a potential showdown with the UFC champion.

"This news of course does not mean the fight is official or is guaranteed to happen, but the largest arena in the fight capital of the world reserving a date certainly means the fantasy bout is moving closer to reality."

Mayweather and McGregor have been teasing a potential dream fight for ages now, with each fighter taking progressiveif slow — steps to make it look like the fight could be happening.

It still seems unlikely that the fight will actually happening, but there is incentive for both fighters to book it. At the end of the day, this is a business, and a boxing match between Mayweather and McGregor would likely be one of the highest-drawing pay-per-views of all time.

Money talks, and it looks like these two are going to keep talking at each other until something happens.
