Despite title loss, Alabama may still have gotten one of their biggest wins in history in 2016

Alabama sets another record, this time off the field.

Alabama had some year in 2016.

First, the Crimson Tide played in the national championship game. (Yeah, they lost to Clemson, but wow was that a game.)

Now, the Tide has had tremendous off field success, too.

The football program brought in a record $103.9 million in revenue, according to NCAA reports reviewed by AL.com. Not only was it a record amount, but the program also saw a $47.7 million in profit.

At Alabama, football accounts for 63.3 percent of all athletics revenue, according to the report.

Clearly, Alabama football is the big dog, on and off the field.
