Dickie V's preseason top 5 schools is missing one major blue blood

How can you overlook that recruiting class?

It is prime transfer season in college basketball and thus, also the time of year when preseason rankings come out. Dick Vitale has decided to drop his top five list and there is a notable heavy hitter missing from it.

Despite bringing in the No. 2 recruiting class for this cycle and bringing back guys like Grayson Allen, Marques Bolden, Javin DeLaurier and Antonio Vrankovic, it seems Dickie V is not as high on the Duke Blue Devils. They bring in two top-5 talents in Trevon Duval and Wendell Carter as well as fellow five-star recruit Gary Trent Jr. They also brought in three other recruits into the class so they should be expected to do well.

With Kentucky bringing in the top class and keeping some talent and Michigan State keeping potential top-10 pick Miles Bridges those two picks make a lot of sense. Arizona also had a top notch class with some talent coming back in Allonzo Trier as well as adding five-stars DeAndre Ayton and Emmanuel Akot to the recruiting class. Kansas will likely win the Big 12 again and Louisville is a nice under-the-radar team to watch in the ACC, but it remains to be seen if the Cards will be tops in the conference.
