"Disconnected" Colin Kaepernick details exactly why he refused to vote

Kaepernick still doesn't have a good reason for not voting.

San Francisco 49ers' quarterback Colin Kaepernick opted not to vote in the 2016 presidential election, and he told reporters he has been "disconnected" from the election process.

"I've been very disconnected from the systematic oppression as a whole," Kaepernick said Wednesday. "So, for me, it's another face that's going to be the face of that system of oppression.  And to me, it didn't really matter who went in there, the system still remains intact that oppresses people of color."

Kaepernick has been kneeling for the national anthem in protest of police brutality and oppression since the preseason.

Stephen A. Smith addressed Kaepernick not voting multiple times on First Take.

Kaepernick said he felt both candidates represented racism and evil.

"It was embarrassing to watch that these are our two candidates," Kaepernick said. "Both are proven liars, and it almost seems like they're trying to debate who's less racist. And at this point ... you have to pick the lesser of two evils. But in the end, it's still evil."
