ESPN is looking even worse after poor timing to layoff SportsCenter anchor

This is horrific timing.

A company will never look good when it has the kind of layoffs ESPN has had in the past couple weeks, but timing is everything. One SportsCenter anchor found out she had been laid off as she was coming back from maternity leave and that's not going to reflect kindly on the "Worldwide Leader." This is the message Sara Walsh tweeted when she found out about the news:

That is definitely what most people would not describe as great timing or something done in good taste. ESPN had to lay people off, but to do it during a maternity leave is a special kind of insensitive. Walsh had been with ESPN since May of 2010 as an anchor as well as hosting several different shows on the network.
