ESPN writer predicts Lane Kiffin to become the head coach at a rival SEC school next season

This is quite the bold prediction.

Lane Kiffin hasn't been known as a guy who sticks around anywhere for too long. The longest he's been anywhere is three seasons and so it begs the question if he will be around at Alabama after this season —- his third in Tuscaloosa —- finishes up. ESPN's SEC beat writers got together and came up with some of their biggest and boldest predictions for the conference in 2016.

The list included more double-digit sack artists as well as Chad Kelly breaking the SEC record for passing yards in a single season. However, Alex Scarbrough had this to say about Kiffin and his penchant for needing new surrounding every few years.

This will be Lane Kiffin's last season at Alabama. After producing yet another 3,000-yard passer and helping the Crimson Tide to yet another SEC championship, the head coaching offers will come rolling in and he'll emerge as a candidate at — wait for it — Auburn.

So not only does he think Alabama will win the SEC again, but he also thinks Auburn will play terribly enough to force the school to fire Gus Malzahn and create an opening for Kiffin. At the very least, that would rile up Alabama fans and they would have an idea of how Tennessee fans felt after he left the program in shambles. He might also put the Tigers through an offensive renaissance that they desperately need.
