WIlbon firing shots!

ESPN's Michael Wilbon isn't the first and he won't be the last media personality to voice his displeasure with the College Football Playoff rankings unveiled Tuesday night.

On Wednesday night's "Pardon the Interruption," Wilbon tore into the committee, and specifically Michigan's No. 3 ranking, per College Spun:

"The committee wants Michigan (to make the playoff)," he said. "This is wrong."

"Michigan had the worst loss (of the group)," he said.

Michigan fell to Iowa, while Washington dropped a loss to USC and Clemson fell to Pittsburgh.

While Wilbon might be correct in pointing out the Wolverines' dreadful loss, it's hard to ignore Michigan's wins over Wisconsin and Penn State, lifting their strength of schedule. A win over Ohio State at the end of the year could only solidify the Wolverines' standing as a serious title contender.

Ohio State currently holds the No. 2 spot and Clemson holds the No. 4 spot, but all three of those positions could be up for grabs with No. 5 Louisville and No. 6 Washington waiting for any slipups down the stretch.
