Arkansas running back Rawleigh Williams is one of the top players in the SEC, rushing for 1,360 yards and 12 touchdowns last year for the Razorbacks. However, Williams had to be stretchered off the field during spring practices after he was tackled during a drill before a scrimmage.
According to Michael Bratton of Saturday Down South, it was later indicated that Williams had suffered a stinger and was moving all of his extremities after being taken to the hospital. Whole Hog Sports reports Williams suffered a “neurological injury.”
When his brother was asked about the SEC star, here was his response per SEC Country:
“We’re taking it day by day,” Brian responded. “It’s a tough situation, but we’re getting better. Just, pray for us. Keep us in your prayers.”
Williams and his family is expected to meet with head coach Bret Bielema and team doctors this week to discuss his future.
