Five-star Alabama commit says this school is the "best visit" he's been on

This five-star Alabama commit could be looking elsewhere after a recent visit appeared to have an impact.

Five-star 2017 offensive tackle Alex Leatherwood has been committed to play for Nick Saban and Alabama for more than a calendar year. However, there might be some reason for fans of the Crimson Tide to be concerned about a potential flip, as Leatherwood visited Michigan this weekend and left with a very positive impression.

Saying that his trip to Ann Arbor "was by far the best visit (he's) been on" is certainly high praise and, for good measure, it appears that Leatherwood has removed the words "Alabama commit" from his Twitter bio in the aftermath of the visit. It should be noted that the 6-foot-6, 327-pound tackle from Pensacola, Fla. is still scheduled to visit Tuscaloosa on Nov. 26 for the Iron Bowl battle against Auburn, but perhaps his commitment is just a touch softer today than it was a week ago.

Jim Harbaugh and his coaching staff have garnered a reputation for being "closers" on the recruiting trail and, when it comes to a top-five prospect in the entire country, it is safe to assume that Michigan will be pulling out the full court press with Leatherwood. Now, it will be interesting to see what Alabama does in contrast.

Your move, Nick Saban.
