The Clemson Tigers and head coach Dabo Swinney had a huge win on the recruiting trail on Monday afternoon. Five-star defensive tackle Dexter Lawrence (6-foot-5, 330 pounds, Wake Forest, N.C.) announced he was verbally committed to Clemson during a ceremony in hid high school's auditorium.
Lewis was also being heavily recruited by Ohio State, and also picked the Tigers over Florida State, Alabama, N.C. State and UNC. Clemson's 2016 recruiting class is ranked at No. 18 in the country per 247Sports. Lawrence is the second five-star member of the 2016 class.
