It looks like one of the top recruits of the 2018 class is setting up a list of visits for this upcoming spring.
Five-star cornerback Patrick Surtain Jr. (6-foot-2, 181 pounds, Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.) is the son of former three-time Pro Bowler Patrick Surtain, and the recruit is setting up quite the visit schedule for the upcoming months. In an interview with 247Sports, Surtain says he plans to unofficially visit Florida, LSU, Ohio State, and Michigan. LSU is the only visit that has a definite date, as Surtain will take his visit there on March 25.
LSU appears to be the “runaway favorite” for Surtain, with Florida State in the No. 2 spot. Among other schools, Surtain also named Miami as one of his leaders, also with the other five aforementioned schools.
Surtain is ranked as the No. 1 cornerback No. 5 overall player in the 247Sports Composite. Despite LSU being called the favorite, Surtain does not appear to have schedule set for a commitment date. With so many schools still in the mix, it’s possible that Surtain will wait until the fall when he can take advantage of his five official visits.
