The 6’8″, 225-pound power forward that is P.J. Washington has officially committed to a school. After teasing us all summer with the slim cutting down of his list all summer, he has officially decided to go to Kentucky.
He becomes the second recruit of the day for the Kentucky Wildcats and he is one three top 20 recruits that made their decision as part of ESPNU’s signing day special. Washington averaged 17.4 points, 10.9 rebounds, one block and 2.1 assists per game on the Nike EYBL circuit this summer. He shot a ridiculous 62 percent from the floor, but only 56 percent from the free throw line. Here’s him committing on ESPNU:
Washington was down to Arizona, Kentucky and North Carolina. The commitment catapulted the Wildcats into the top ten of ESPN’s recruiting rankings so that should tell you how big a commitment Washington is for this program.
