Five-star SF John Petty reveals the five finalists for his recruitment

This kid definitely isn't scared to show off the athleticism.

One of the premier recruits of the 2017 class has narrowed down his interests to just five teams.

Five-star small forward John Petty out of Huntsville, AL revealed his top five teams on Saturday, and it looks like he is down to three powerhouses and two other teams where he could immediately turn things around. Those five teams: UConn, Kentucky, Kansas, Alabama, and Florida State.

Petty has admitted that he has grown up as a Kentucky fan, and the Calipari-led Wildcats are considered the current favorite. Avery Johnson and the Crimson Tide may also have a shot at keeping him in-state.

Though he is extremely athletic, Petty's height at 6-foot-5 could make him a guard at the next level instead of a forward. The biggest thing holding him back is a weak handle, but he does seem to have a solid stroke on his jumper. If he can tighten up the dribble skill, he could definitely blossom into a star player.
