Florida freshman joins elite company in school history

How about that?

Florida football has looked much better on offense so far this year despite all the belly aching from some fans. The Gators are averaging about 182 yards on the ground per game and about 245 yards in the air per game so it's not a totally stagnant offense. The running game has looked so good despite the fact that Florida is utilizing three or four running backs every game.

One of those backs is freshman Lamical Perine who just joined some elite company with his 106 yards on the ground on only 11 rushing attempts. It was his second game of the season reaching the century mark and here's some games he joins as the only freshmen to do that:

This kid is going to be legit and a lot of fun to watch as he matures into an even better player for the Gators.
