Florida State's Derrick Brooks heading to the College Football Hall of Fame

Florida State's Derrick Brooks will be headlining the 2016 Class of the College Football Hall of Fame, according to a report by ESPN.

Brooks had an amazing career at Florida State, being recognized as a two-time consensus All-American, and was the Defensive Player of the Year in both 1993 and 1994. Brooks helped lead the Seminoles to a national title in 1993, and his No. 10 has been retired by the program. Brooks was inducted to the NFL Hall of Fame in 2014 after playing 14 seasons in the NFL.

Joining Brooks in the class is former Nebraska-Omaha quarterback Marlin Briscoe. Briscoe set several school records at Nebraska-Omaha, and in 1968, he became the first black quarterback to start a game in the NFL.
