Florida State loses key senior for year, expects him back next season

Hopefully he will be back next season.

Florida State has had some bad luck with injuries in the past few weeks and it doesn't look to be getting any better. Senior defensive back Nate Andrews has officially been ruled out for the rest of the year after tearing his pectoral muscle against Miami last month.

Friday night is Senior Day for the Seminoles and if it's any indication, Andrews won't be participating.

FSU will apply for a medical redshirt for Andrews in hopes he will be given another year of eligibility. The Miami game was the fourth of the season, so this could be an iffy proposition for the Seminoles, but would be an incredible payoff if the NCAA gives them the redshirt.
