Florida State loses one of its best linebackers to nasty targeting call

That one could hurt.

Florida State has not had a good start to the game against Miami with quarterback Deondre Francois getting knocked out of the game early on a nasty hit from a Miami defender. It looks like the Seminoles might be trying to return the favor after a brutal hit on Miami QB Brad Kaaya.

One of FSU's best linebackers in Matthew Thomas gave Kaaya a rather nasty hit above the shoulders and he was ejected for targeting. Here's the play:

Thomas will not only miss the rest of this game, but he will miss the first half of the game against Wake Forest next week as well.
