Florida State to keep another elite defender for 2017

This bodes well.

Florida State fans were already excited about the prospect of bringing back defensive lineman Derrick Nnadi, but it looks like now they will get to keep a great linebacker as well. Redshirt junior Matthew Thomas will be returning to Florida State for his last year of eligibility and to lead the linebacking corps once again.

Thomas led the Seminoles in total tackles with 77 and he had 50 of them that were solo. He also recorded 11 tackles for loss, a sack and a forced fumble on the season. He'll likely be joined next year by Ro'Derrick Hoskins, Jacob Pugh and Dontavious Jackson to name a few other linebackers.
