Florida's most important defender won't play against FSU, but does look good for Atlanta

Hallelujah!

Florida was expecting to play against Florida State without its best defender in Jarrad Davis. However, the linebacker and Butkus Award finalist looked like he could very well be available to play.

The team's heart and soul on defense wasn't there against LSU in Baton Rouge but might give the Gators the edge they need in this huge rivalry game. It looks like he will have to do it from the sideline though as he gave the Florida fans a bit of a tease.

While Davis won't play against FSU, he could definitely be back for the SEC Championship Game in Atlanta next week as most observers noted that Davis looked good in warmups.

Davis could still have an impact on this game from the sideline considering he's the heart and soul of the team, but that tease before the big rivalry game might have been a preview of what to expect next week in Atlanta.

Hopefully he can make a difference on the field next week when it matters most against Alabama and help cause some chaos in the College Football Playoff.
