Floyd Mayweather adds fuel to Conor McGregor fight speculation

Could the fight be happening after all?

Dana White may have tried to douse the fire that was the alleged Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather fight, but Mayweather is here to light it up again.

"Do I think the fight will happen?" asked Mayweather when confronted by Showtime Sports. "Absolutely."

McGregor has been teasing the potential superfight for days now on social media, which has caused the rumors to pick up more and more steam. From an outside perspective, the fight is unlikely to happen as long as McGregor is under UFC contract.

However, with the way the two keep teasing at it, it seems like the two would love to get in the ring with each other. The reason why is obvious: UFC champion vs. undefeated boxer would draw a ton of money, and both fighters are extremely savvy when it comes to business.

The fight may never happen, but don't expect the speculation to go away; these two guys know how to market themselves, and as long as this keeps putting their name out there, then they will keep talking about it.
