Following two ACL tears and getting run over by a forklift, former Big Ten standout makes decision on his football future

Big 10 RB makes a decision about his future after several injuries throughout school.

Michigan running back Drake Johnson has battled a series of injuries throughout his career in Ann Arbor, and he was expected to ask the NCAA for a sixth year of eligibility.

However, Johnson told coach Jim Harbaugh he has decided that he won't play for Michigan next season, so his football career is officially over.

Johnson tore his ACL twice, and he was also run over by a forklift which forced him to be hospitalized. Last year, Johnson dealt with a hamstring injury that sidelined him for the entire 2016 season.

In three seasons at Michigan, Johnson ran for 641 yards and eight touchdowns, and he caught another two touchdowns. He last appeared in the Citrus Bowl on Jan. 1, 2016, where he ran for 58 yards and a touchdown in Michigan's win over Florida.
