Former 4-star set to transfer from Michigan, and he already has a new school

Dawson is a 325-pound offensive guard.

Offensive guard David Dawson was formerly one of the top recruits of the 2013 out of the state of Michigan. Dawson later committed to the in-state powerhouse, but on Sunday, Dawson announced that he would be continuing his collegiate career as a graduate transfer at Iowa State.

Dawson will be eligible to play immediately as a graduate transfer. Per Landof10, Dawson only played in three games in the 2016 season as a senior.

Dawson will definitely have a chance to showcase his talent more in Ames. The 6-foot-4, 325-pound guard also fills a convenient gap for the Cyclones, as they have two starting offensive lineman departing after graduation this season.
