Former Alabama LB transfers to another top-tier program

He'll open the 2017 season against his former team in the newly-opened Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta.

According to AL.com, former Alabama linebacker Adonis Thomas will spend the final three years of his eligibility at Florida State and plans to enroll in January.

Thomas reportedly transferred from Alabama over concerns of playing time after choosing Alabama over Florida in 2015.

He played at a JUCO school last season, and will return to primetime college football in Tallahassee.

He'll open the 2017 season against his former team in the newly-opened Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta.
