Former Alabama player, second-round pick under investigation following assault allegation

No arrests have been made.

Former Alabama and current Seattle Seahawks defensive lineman Jarran Reed is under investigation for an alleged assault that occurred in April.

According to NBC King 5 News, Bellevue Police responded to a complaint from a woman at 3 z.m. on April 27 who claimed Reed assaulted her.

Charges have not been filed, but police are investigating the incident.

The Seahawks selected Reed in the second round of the 2016 NFL Draft. As a rookie, Reed started five games and made 1.5 sacks.

The Seahawks haven't commented on the situation.
