Former Auburn RB finds new home at DII school

Hopefully he can rehab his image now.

Former Auburn running back Jovon Robinson was dismissed from the team suddenly for what was called a "continued inattention to detail in everything" and for missing classes and meetings. Robinson has decided to transfer down a division in order to be eligible for his senior season and get a chance to get some more tape out there for NFL teams.

Robinson was expected to become Auburn's primary back in 2016 after rushing for a team-best 639 yards last season. He also scored three touchdowns and all of this came on 117 attempts.

It probably didn't help that Robinson tried to throw the coaching staff under the bus on his way out of Auburn. Robinson becomes the second top player Auburn has tossed from the program after receiver Duke Williams was dismissed before the 2014 season. Robinson has found a new home with Valdosta State and he is actually the sixth FBS transfer for the Blazers. He also fills a huge need at running back for them as they lost their top five rushers from last season.
