After emerging as Florida's starter in 2014, Harris was eventually replaced by Will Grier at quarterback in 2015. Grier has also since transferred out of the program after a suspension for a drug violation, while Harris officially left the program in the summer of 2016.

Harris is a former four-star recruit of the 2014 class. He started 15 games for Florida in his career.
