Former Mississippi State RB claims that Dan Mullen called the cops on him

This situation doesn't make much sense.

This situation is still developing, but it is extremely bizarre so far.

Former Mississippi State running back Josh Robinson posted a string of comments on social media early on Wednesday, claiming that current MSU head coach Dan Mullen had called the police on him for trespassing on the school's track and field facilities.

The Clarion-Ledger has since reached out to Mullen, who denied the claims that he had called the police. Mississippi State later released a statement, indicating that a track and field staff member than had made the call.

This is a very odd situation that seems to involve a simple lack of communication. Still, Robinson should know better than to call out his former coach like that over social media, especially if Mullen didn't even do anything. Maybe Robinson and Mullen have deeper issues dating back to Robinson's time as a Bulldog, but the running back seems to be in the wrong here.

Robinson was taken by the Colts in the sixth round of the 2015 NFL Draft. He ran for 1,203 yards and 11 touchdowns in 2014 as Mississippi State's lead running back.
