Former MLB star with a troubled past has reportedly gone missing

His drug problems were highly publicized throughout his career.

Former Braves outfielder Otis Nixon is missing, according to the Woodstock Police Department.

The department's official social media posted messages Sunday night asking for assistance locating Nixon.

Nixon, 58, was last seen leaving his home about 10 a.m. Saturday in a gray 2011 Range Rover with Georgia tag CFP9010.

Nixon left for a tee time at a local golf course but never arrived, police said.

He was wearing a black long sleeve-shirt, black sweatpants and a black baseball cap, with black Adidas shoes with white stripes.

Nixon's drug problems were highly publicized throughout his career.

He joined the Braves prior to the 1991 season and helped spark the worst-to-first season, but was suspended for 60 days after failing a drug test and missed the team's trip to the World Series.
