Former three-time NASCAR champion Tony Stewart pulled over by state trooper

Let the speeding jokes begin.

Former three-time NASCAR champion Tony Stewart was pulled over in DeKalb, Illinois by a state trooper last weekend. Surprisingly, Stewart wasn't pulled over for speeding.

Instead, Stewart was pulled over an issued a warning for improper lane usage on Interstate 88, according to police spokesman Jason Bradley.

The trooper who pulled Stewart over posted a picture of the two on Twitter, but the post was taken down.

The trooper could be disciplined for using social media during a traffic stop.

Stewart didn't have to worry about lanes during his NASCAR career, so it was nice of the trooper to give him a pass.
