Former Vols coach on if he regrets not taking another job over Tennessee: "Every day"

Don't pull any punches now.

While Lane Kiffin's time (or lack thereof) certainly still has Tennessee fans riled up, he's not the only former coach the Volunteer faithful might be a bit frustrated at.

While describing his time with Kiffin on the Tennessee staff  and their unique relationship, current LSU head coach Ed Orgeron completely trashed his time with the Volunteers, per The Advocate:

"I thought about reneging on the Tennessee deal. I left earlier in the morning and when I landed on the tarmac in Tennessee, I got an (LSU) offer that was kind of hard to refuse," Orgeron said. "The reason I had gone to Tennessee is because Lane and I were good friends, and I wanted to coach under Monte Kiffin's defense."

When asked if he regretted not joining Les Miles in 2009, his response was swift:

"Every day."

Orgeron is 3-0 since taking over for the since-fired Miles at LSU. He'll have a chance to establish himself against his good friend, Kiffin, with a win over the latter's team next Saturday.
