Former WWE champion reveals he's interested in following CM Punk's path to the MMA

This would be awesome.

WWE superstars making the jump to UFC happens from time to time, with CM Punk being the latest example and Brock Lesnar being perhaps the best. They surely won't be the last to make the career change, and we may have learned who might be the next professional wrestler to jump into the fray: Dean Ambrose.

Ambrose revealed in an interview that it comes down to the price — if you offer enough, he'll gladly step into the octagon.

Via Bleacher Report:

"Speaking with The Sun, Ambrose left no doubt about a potential foray into MMA. He's interested...if the price is right."

"I'll fight anyone for enough money," he said. "Give me half-a-million dollars. Put them in the ring, I'll do it right now, I'll do it tonight."

Ambrose makes a lot of sense with his CZW background including a lot of extreme spots, so the Lunatic Fringe is no stranger to putting himself in harms way for a match.

Still, it's hard to see him leave the WWE anytime soon, or Dana White offering him over $500,000 to fight in the UFC.

Especially after what happened to CM Punk in his bout in the UFC, which did not go well.

Ambrose clearly has other interests, so it should be interesting to see if he's in the WWE for the long haul.
