Four-star 6'6" TE spurns Alabama and Michigan, announces commitment to this school

They really needed this commitment.

Great tight ends are rare nowadays in college football, so it is always a welcome addition when you can add a good one to your team.

Pittsburgh got just that on Wednesday, as four-star tight end Charles Reeves (6-foot-6, 240 pounds, Stubenville, OH) announced his commitment to the Panthers.

Reeves — rated a four-star by Scout — also had offers from Alabama, Michigan, and Tennessee, among others.

For Pitt, Reeves is the 16th commit for the 2017 class, and one of their top-rated guys under commitment. As an overall class, they rank 37th in the nation and eighth in the ACC, according to the 247Sports rankings.
