Four-star Atlanta CB Myles Sims spurns Georgia, Florida with huge commitment

Florida and Georgia won't like this recruiting surprise.

Jim Harbaugh is not afraid to battle anyone on the recruiting trail and that confidence, to the point of arrogance, manifested itself in another huge win for the Michigan Wolverines on Friday. Four-star cornerback Myles Sims hails from Westlake High School in Atlanta (Ga.) but that did not stop Harbaugh and his staff from aggressively pursuing his commitment and his final decision flipped in Michigan's favor.

The 6'2, 173-pound cornerback held an impressive list of offers from the likes of Auburn, Alabama, Clemson, Florida, Georgia, LSU, Ohio State and more, but the two programs licking their wounds most are probably the Gators and Bulldogs. Obviously, letting a top-150 prospect from within its borders won't go over well in Athens for Kirby Smart and it was thought that the Gators were in the mix for Sims until the very end.

As for Michigan, Sims becomes the fourth player committed to play for Harbaugh in the 2018 class and it appears that the program is just beginning to heat up with regard to recruiting for next year. Myles Sims will travel a long way from high school to college but, when Jim Harbaugh is involved, nothing becomes a shock on the recruiting trail and that was proven yet again with this victory.
